15-hour Yoga Nidra Immersion
Many of us have been conditioned to see the body as an object rather than our home. The practice of Yoga Nidra is all about coming home to ourselves and realizing it never left us, but we lost track of it.
Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep” is a practice of withdrawing our attention and senses inward to inner feelings, sounds, and visions. The practice works on the wiring between the brain and the body and has implications for stress mediation, hormone regulation, creativity, emotional regulation and social engagement.
In this 15-hour immersion you will learn:
Traditional and modern applications of Yoga Nidra
-The physiology of rest
-Brain states + neuroplasticity
-The art of teaching Yoga Nidra
-How to sequence and deliver Yoga Nidra classes
Spend a weekend reconnecting with yourself and replenishing your energy with this powerful practice of conscious rest.
September 22-24, 2023
Friday 7pm - 9pm
Saturday 11am - 6pm
Sunday 11am - 3pm

Virtual Yin Yoga Donation Class
Make an easeful transition from late winter into early spring with this hip-focused yin yoga class. Energetically, the meridians associated with spring, the Liver + Gallbladder, are responsible for balancing our emotions. Anatomically, these channels affect the inner thighs, outer hips and front of the spine. This practice will include seated and reclining hip openers as well as supported backbends. Take the opportunity to shed old unwanted layers and make a conscious choice to begin again. Suggested props: a blanket, two blocks and a strap.
This class is donation based with all proceeds going towards the Love Your Brain Foundation.

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is the powerful practice of conscious rest that systematically relaxes and unwinds physical, emotional, and mental tensions. When we sleep, we often continue to hold onto stress and sometimes wake up still feeling tired and overwhelmed. Yoga Nidra helps to break down these patterns through guided relaxation, breath awareness, and meditation to reach resting states usually only experienced in the deepest states of sleep. The practice also holds the potential to turn your wholehearted desires into reality that will create positive ripple effects throughout your work- home- and personal-life.
Throughout this 15-hour intensive students will both experience Yoga Nidra and learn how to share it with others. At the end of the course, students will be equipped to provide this healing service to their communities. Experience for yourself the gift of giving others permission to rest, reset, and create lasting change.
In this Immersion, you will explore:
• The history of Yoga Nidra and how it has evolved
• Yoga Nidra within the context of yogic philosophy and western science
• The therapeutic benefits of Yoga Nidra
• Meditation and pranayama techniques
• How to create an environment of deep relaxation for yourself and others
• Voice quality and pace; and exploration of music, postures and props
